Australia will bid farewell to one of the nation's most iconic racing venues when Wentworth Park hosts its final race meeting after 94 years of greyhound racing on Friday, October 16, headlined by the running of the Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase Final, the world's richest greyhound race.

In a landmark broadcast partnership, Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW), Sports Entertainment Network (SEN), SEN's television production company, Rainmaker, Racing.com and the Seven Network will deliver comprehensive national coverage of the historic occasion, with the event broadcast live on 7plus and Racing.com from 6pm to 10pm AEDT.

The broadcast will showcase one of the most significant nights in Australian racing history, combining elite competition, live entertainment and the final chapter of a venue that has been synonymous with greyhound racing since 1932.

SEN Chief Executive, Craig Hutchison, said the opportunity to bring Wentworth Park's farewell to a national audience reflected the significance of the occasion.

"This is far more than a race meeting. It's the closing chapter of one of Australia's great sporting venues and a moment that deserves to be shared with audiences across the country," Hutchison said.

"The Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase is already one of the premier events on the racing calendar, but the final night at Wentworth Park gives it an added level of significance. Through our partnership with GRNSW, Racing.com and Seven, fans will be able to experience every moment of a truly historic occasion."

The night will feature signature coverage across Seven's platforms and Racing.com, complemented by extensive radio coverage through the SENTrack, SENTurf and RSN networks*.

GRNSW Chief Executive Officer, Steve Griffin, said the national broadcast would ensure the venue receives the farewell it deserves.

"Wentworth Park has been at the heart of greyhound racing in New South Wales for almost a century and has created memories for generations of participants, fans and Sydneysiders," Griffin said.

"When it was announced that the Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase would be the final race meeting ever held at Wentworth Park, we knew it had to be an occasion worthy of the venue's place in Australian sporting history. To have that story shared with audiences right across the country through this broadcast partnership is incredibly fitting."

Adding to the atmosphere, Australian rock favourites The Screaming Jets will perform live, helping create a memorable celebration as the curtain falls on 94 years of racing at Wentworth Park.

The final race meeting comes after GRNSW confirmed the Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase Final would headline the venue's farewell night, marking the end of an era for a track that has been a fixture of Sydney's sporting landscape for more than nine decades.
