Team Hawkes-trained colt Divine Prophet resumed after his debut fifth in a Two-Year-Old Plate (1200m) at Randwick on Boxing Day to score a narrow but promising win here. He settled well back in about tenth place, made a move from the 300m in the centre of the track and finished a bit too well to score well. He looks to have a good future and seems suited to further. Chris Waller-trained filly Sezanne was about eighth, between runners, before fanning deep and into clear running at the 300m. She grabbed a narrow lead on passing the 100m and fought gamely for a really good second on debut. Rivo Boy, a colt from the Anthony Cummings stable, settled near the tail of the 14-horse field from the outside barrier and remained there until nearing the home turn. He went deep on passing the 300m and ran on very well for a close-up third, also going well on debut.
