Fresh up yet trialling strongly, Ready To Prophet caused a minor upset in taking out her second win (maiden stakes) in six starts. From a wide draw she began well but soon drifted to midfield and was still wide passing the 800m. Inside the 600m she improved to fourth behind three tearaways and pulled four wide at the top of the straight. She co-led with four others at the 200m then two broke away before engaging in a battle royal to the line, just getting her head in front two strides from the post. Madam Rouge sat fifth last at the 600m, improved quickly to be handy turning in and then went up to co-lead. She gave the winner a fierce battle but was outgunned in the last couple of strides. Prophet's Thumb was equal last turning in and kept up a strong run out wide for third. Snow Valley finished on for fourth from well back.
