By SEN

Champion Data has released its Top 10 players in the AFL through 12 rounds of the 2026 season!

Daniel Hoyne named each player on SEN's Sportsday, and will update the Top 10 every four weeks for the remainder of the season.

See the list below:

10. Ed Richards (Western Bulldogs)

"Great to see Ed back in the number 10," Hoyne said.

"He has been hovering around all season despite some people assuming that he hasn't been playing at the levels of last year.

"We are all victims of expectations to reality - his season last year was ridiculous. His season this year is still exceptional - not at the same level, but he is coming with a bullet."

9. Bailey Smith (Geelong)

8. Kysaiah Pickett (Melbourne)

7. Brodie Grundy (Sydney)

6. Jordan Dawson (Adelaide)

"Having a blinder of a year. Career best year."

5. Max Gawn (Melbourne)

4. Zak Butters (Port Adelaide)

3. Marcus Bontempelli (Western Bulldogs)

2. Christian Petracca (Gold Coast)

1. Isaac Heeney (Sydney)

"The number one player in the game. Took over from Christian Petracca on the weekend.

"Isaac having that blinder that he had comes in at number one."

The notable risers

"A couple of players that I want to put on the radar that have been in some really good form over the last six weeks compared to where they were over the first two weeks.

"Jordan De Goey, his performance on the weekend - he was phenomenal in what he did. With the 19 score involvements from 28 disposals, hardly ever seen that before. Ridiculous game.

"Charlie Curnow - there's a lot of talk about Charlie and I know he had a good game on the weekend, but he is going okay. He has been a top 70 player in the competition over the last six weeks. The first six weeks, he was outside the top 250.

"He is doing a lot right. His accuracy - if that starts to return to AFL average, expect Charlie's scoreboard return to get going. He is doing a lot right.

"The move of Noah Balta for Richmond has been a positive, and up until the weekend we saw Oisin Mullin elevate his game from just being a pure tagger to being able to generate some offensive return. Top 100 player in the game over the last six weeks.

"Patrick Cripps' ratings have been through the roof over that time. Over the course of the year, he is still a top 40 rated player in the competition. His last 14 quarters or so have been phenomenal. He would be comfortably a top 10 player in the game if you were just looking at that period of time.

"Just a couple of players there to keep an eye on."
