Brody Mihocek has been taken off the field after suffering a nasty neck injury in the King’s Birthday Clash.

In his first clash against his former club, the former Magpie turned Demon had to be stretchered off during the second quarter after his head collided with the turf following a tackle from Billy Frampton.

Following the incident, a hush would descend over the MCG with concern for his health as he stayed down.

The club’s medical staff was able to get the 33-year-old onto a stretcher with the game being delayed for eight minutes.

After he was wheeled away into the change rooms, both clubs went over to him to check in and wish him the best.

At halftime, the Demons confirmed that Mihocek has been taken to the hospital following the incident.
