By SENTrack

Cam Luke, David Taggart & Miles Pfitzner have your Wednesday sorted on Trackside.

The lads have taken a close look at Sandown, Canterbury & Pinjarra Scarpside in a bid to find the family some winners.

See their best bets below:👇

Cam Luke

SANDOWN

Race 4 | 6. Tan Tat Delight

I had been waiting for this girl to get to 1400m and then she got there off five weeks off. She was OK last start in a race won by the on pacers. She will settle a little closer from the gate, second time at the trip. Her runs in her first two runs this prep in good races showed her talent and she ran like she needed seven furlongs. Handles the wet track and will take a mountain of besting here again at the 1400m with a better setup!

Race 5 | 2. Escarpa

Smallest confidence of the bets today but he is a nice horse. He flies fresh and loves the toe into the deck! Last prep was full of good runs in really good races that the form held up really well in. Has trialled up pretty well albeit on the synthetic. Luke Cartwright is flying and the claim works. Is drawn to be closer than normal with his freshness. He needs further, no doubt, but his talent is above these.

Race 6 | 2. Somewhere

Did everything but win last start in a tougher race than this. The gate is a little sticky but I'd love them to try and be proactive back to the mile (1700m last start) and push forward. He handles rain affected and the claim works a treat here! Has won third-up before and I like the setup back a little in trip. If he gets luck, either an easy lead or at a minimum a little cover, he will go very close based on his two runs this prep.

CANTERBURY

Race 5 | 2. Infusion

Zac Lloyd will smoke the pipe on the back of a very hot tempo. She won’t go around a horse and deserves some luck after last start where she was stuck wide and neatly last when the winner led. 1200m record reads poor but a few of those in better races than this. Heavy track not a concern as long as the rail isn't poison. Open race with a bunch of chances but fourth-up, she couldn’t be fitter and if she gets an even chance, she will go close.

Race 6 | 2. Watson

As long as he isn't simply a good track horse, he is deep into this. Two starts back was OK behind Tempted (finished with Wodeton) and now after trialling well finds himself in a mid-weeker. He was disappointing when backed at Canberra but the month between runs up to 1400m probably told late. Zac Wadick claims a couple and there is a little speed but he will be able to cross and run. He has won first-up and here and I really like him, he'll either win with class or won't handle the track and bomb. I'm going with him being too good against the older horses.

Race 7 | 1. Pier Pressure

Has had two decent runs returning from a year off and last start sat wide and still hit the line well. This is an open race but there might be enough speed for Pier Pressure to slide in behind the leaders (Spiv/Bat Out Of Hell/Stockholm/Tenderize all go forward). This will allow William Stanley (riding well and claiming 3kgs) to take his team and get cover. Handles both soft and heavier and I think wider the better later in the day could be an advantage. Has won fourth-up before and expect him to go very close here!

David Taggart

SANDOWN

Race 5 | 2. Escarpa

Resumes and she always races well fresh. Won a recent trial and she is ready for this. Gets a claim for an inform apprentice and watch for her late as she will get back.

CANTERBURY

Race 2 | 1. Persian Wonder

Smashed them in a recent trial which should be good enough to win this. Is on debut who did everything right in her trial hence the market support.

Miles Pfitzner

SANDOWN

Race 4 | 5. Hi Val
Race 5 | 6. Smart Little Miss
Race 6 | 2. Somewhere
Race 8 | 5. Stay Humble

PINJARRA SCARPSIDE

Race 4 | 3. Cosmic Treat
Race 5 | 14. Hot Like Chili
Race 8 | 11. Cosmic Spirit
