“Champion middle distance galloper Romantic Warrior has been retired,” Sebastiani said.

“The 15-time Group 1 winner amassed more than $288 million Hong Kong dollars in his career, which is equivalent to a tick over $51 million Aussie dollars.

“He will be best remembered on Australian shores for his triumph in the 2023 Cox Plate, when he pipped out Lindsay Park's stable star, Mr Brightside, by a nose.
