Chris Waller-trained four-year-old Our Beatnik won impressively here at his first start since racing in New Zealand. He was slow to move from his wide barrier (10) and remained in last place in the 11-horse field to the home turn. He switched between runners nearing the 200m and then sprinted quickly to score a soft win at the post. It was a very smart effort and he looks to have a very bright future.
