Race 7 – #2 Jimmysstar $3.00 (Place)

Jimmysstar has shown he can perform well in this type of contest, finishing third last year despite being asked to race outside his preferred pattern.

Conditions look more favourable this time, with a better map and rain-affected ground likely to suit.

His Manikato Stakes victory was an encouraging sign that he has returned to form.

With a potentially more advantageous run than Tempted, he shapes as a strong contender to finish behind Ka Ying Rising.
