“It’s crazy”: Blair reacts to Storm's record-tying losing streak
By Nicholas Quinlan
With the Storm now 2-6, former Melbourne player Adam Blair has expressed his thoughts on the club's current struggles.
On Saturday, the Storm lost to the Rabbitohs in Melbourne for the first time in club history after a 48-6 thumping at AAMI Park.
This would mark their sixth loss in a row, which ties the club record for their longest losing streak.
With the Storm now 16th on the ladder, there are growing concerns about whether they can make the top eight for the 16th season in a row, with coach Craig Bellamy admitting to being 'embarrassed' by their recent results.
Following their out-of-character form, the forward, who played 121 games with the club, admitted to being surprised by their fallaway.

“It's crazy to see where they're at the moment,” Blair told SEN’s NRL Crunch Time.
“When you go through their side, there's quality through that team from the spine to their middle forwards.
“I guess when we think about the Melbourne Storm, no matter who comes into what position, they still go out there and get their job done.
“And sometimes it's hard to try and pinpoint the things with the Melbourne Storm because you're so used to seeing them doing so well and being so consistent.
“(But) when you see a scoreline of (48) points scored against them, when you think about the Melbourne Storm being a strong defence-minded club, I reckon that's where it hurts.”
“I reckon it's around the effort areas and the things that they pride themselves on.
“Some of the individual mistakes, and I guess the small fundamental stuff, is lacking at the moment, and I guess confidence is at the same time.

“But it's hard to watch the Melbourne Storm (with) the way that they're going and the things that they're going through.”
But the Kiwi representative remains confident that the side under Bellamy can turn the ship around despite their poor form.
“I think times will turn and they've just got to stay in it and keep continuing to work hard, which they do,” Blair said.
“And things may change. It's a tough competition.
“The game's changing so much. It's moving quick, it's faster defence.
“When you look at the competition over the last few games, there's a lot of points scored all over the park.”
The Storm will look to avoid a club record seven-game losing streak when they travel to Suncorp Stadium on Friday to play the Dolphins.
Kick-off takes place at 8pm AEST.
